The App You Want is run by David French ("we", "I"). This page explains what information is collected when you use theappyouwant.com and the client portal, and what happens to it.
Application details: when you apply, you give us your name, email, phone (optional), a description of your business, and what you want built. This is used to evaluate and respond to your application, deliver the service, and contact you about it.
Payment information: payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card number. Stripe's handling of your data is covered by Stripe's privacy policy.
Messages and requests: what you send through the client portal, by email, or by text in connection with your build is stored so we can do the work and keep a record of what was agreed.
Analytics and advertising cookies: this site uses the Meta pixel to measure advertising and understand how visitors use the site. You can control ad personalization in your Facebook settings and limit cookies in your browser.
If you give us your phone number, you agree to receive text messages about your application and your build (approval, build updates, replies to your messages). Message frequency varies with activity on your account. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving texts, or HELP for help.
Your information is never sold and never shared with third parties except the service providers needed to run this business (hosting, email delivery, text delivery, payments, and the AI tools we use to answer and build), each of which processes it only to provide their service.
AI: the messages you send us, our notes, and recordings of calls with us are worked on with AI tools that help us support and build. The data inside a client's app, meaning their own customers' records, contracts, documents and payment details, is not sent to an AI model. The full statement is in our terms.
In the United States. Application data, client apps and their files run on managed PostgreSQL and private storage in Amazon Web Services US East, with the apps themselves on Vercel in the same US region.
You can ask for a copy of your data or ask for it to be deleted at any time by emailing david@davidfrench.io. If you are a client, your app's data is yours, and you get a full export on request, including if you cancel.
